After a first analyse based on user requests on Canny or by the support, we had a first idea of what users want to do with sub-wallets, but still interrogations. To deepen our first hypotheses and data, we conducted physical and online user interviews.

During this project we proposed a new type of transfer: internal transfers, from one account to another.

In parallel, other new types of transfer are planned. We therefore conducted a project to redesign the transfer flows on web and mobile applications.

To go further during the launch

The production launch was done step by step in order to continuously test on smaller volumes. During this time we identified initial improvements to be made.

Mobile visibility

Since there is no "Sub-account" menu, access to this feature is discreet on mobile. In order to increase visibility on the entry point I made an animation to attract the eye.

Upselling

Access to this feature depends on the customer's offer. For Basic plans no sub-accounts are available, and for higher plans you could access to 1, 4 or 9 additional wallets.

To maximize the upsell we have thought about the different paths in which the upsell is possible: when the feature is not available, but also when the limit is reached.

The release of this feature has been well received by our users. It has increased upgrades at Shine by 14%. Of all upgrades, 30% are related to multi-wallet flow. The balance on our customers' accounts has also increased.

Sub-accounts are a new building block that will allow Shine to offer more services to its customers, such as automated payments to dedicated accounts, or the possibility of sharing access to specific accounts.
